Demographics

The original Boheme colonisers were the descendants of the racially distinct Irish ethnic minority known as the Irish Travellers. They have thus inherited many of the traditions and cultural practices, behaviours and norms of the Irish Travellers. When tracing the genetic ancestry of the original Boheme settlers of Bohemia, they were all related, albeit distantly, to the Irish Travellers. However, the subsequent immigrations of MUD humans from varying heritages has meant that not all current Boheme have a direct lineage to the Irish Travellers.

Despite a relatively small degree of inevitable cultural appropriation, due to interbreeding and immigration, the Boheme have remarkably maintained much of the culture of their Irish Traveller ancestors. The exception to this would their religion for where the Irish Travellers were for the most part Christians, the Boheme have embraced the much older practice of Paganism, which pre-dated Christianisation. Therefore, one could argue that the Boheme more closely resemble nomadic Gaels in their cultural practices and traditions than they did the Christian Irish. This is largely because of the influence of Caedmon O’Tuathail, who had been a historian and anthropologist of minor renown.

Ethnic Demographics

The Boheme bloodline has been diluted over the centuries because of breeding with other races, however, the majority of Boheme still contain some genetic connection to the Irish Traveller race. The exception to this are naturalised foreign human migrants who immigrated to Bohemia.

Physical Characteristics

Because the major ethnicity in the Bohemian population is formed from the Irish Traveller genetics, a large percentage of the population sport dark hair, fair to olive skin and blue or green eyes.

As a result of the other racial influences, various other physical characteristics are commonly seen within the population, such as light brown skin to midnight-black skin, epicanthic folds, flame-red hair and even blonde hair.
