Clann Governance

Clann Council

Each Clann is governed by a Clann Council. The Clann Council has 13 Members which is composed of 11 Clann Councillors, 1 Clann Chief and 1 Clann Druid.

The primary function of the Clann Council is to govern and lead their respective Clann.

The council meet twice a month for a minimum of 2 hours to discuss any Clann related news, issues, upcoming festivals, plans for the future and to discuss any proposals received from their people. Emergency meetings can be arranged if an urgent matter arises.

Any major proposals that would impact the life of the entire Clann are typically put to Clann wide vote, however, these are not that common.

Clann Councillors

Clann Councillors are elected into office by the Clann populace every 3 years.

There are some eligibility requirements in order to be voted in to be a Clann Councillor. These include an age requirement of at least 40 biological years of age, a minimum average of at least 125 hours of Clann-Community Work per year over the past 3 years and no criminal history in the past thirty years.

Clann Chief

Each Clann has their own Clann Chief and this individual can be either a man or a woman. The Clann Chief is voted into this position by their Clann at the same time that the other Clann Councillors are voted in.

A proposal to remove the Clann Chief, or any other Clann Councillor, from their position can be raised by any member of the Clann at any time. Such a proposal, however, would require at least 11% of all Clann members from that Clann supporting such a motion as well as at least 3 Clann Councillors in order for it to trigger a Clann-wide vote (Clann Vote).

Clann Druid

Every year a Druid is randomly chosen from the Druid community and given the option to provide counsel to their Clann. Acceptance is completely voluntary and should they decide they no longer wish to represent their Druidic community in their respective Clann Councik then they need only give notice of this and then a different Druid will be chosen and given the option. Most Druids accept the offer as they understand the importance of providing spiritual guidance to the Clanns.

Druids are individuals who have devoted their lives to a spiritual life and for the most part wander nomadically through the forests. That being said, because of the wonders of technology they are able to tune into the council meetings wherever they may be on the planet in order to provide their spiritual counsel.
