Music

Music is the lifeblood of the Boheme. They have inherited their passion for music and dancing from their Irish Traveller ancestors for whom which music was an integral part of their daily life. Music can be heard almost everywhere and at all times wherever the Boheme can be found on the planet.

Traditional Irish Music

The Boheme enjoy playing traditional Irish music and a variety of traditional instruments are very popular. These include various traditional string instruments, wind instruments and percussion instruments. Singing is also very popular and almost all Boheme sing. Most households and family units have at least two individuals who are skilled in playing Traditional Irish music. During festivals such as Ceilidh the sounds of traditional Irish music can be heard wherever one goes.

Bohemian Techno

The Boheme have also developed their own unique style of electronic dance music known as Bohemian Techno. It has evolved into its own style of music, however, it has been heavily influenced by what used to be known as Irish Techno back on Earth. Irish techno was a genre of electronic music which was characterised by fast-paced, driving beats. It also frequently used traditional Irish instruments and samples of jigs, reels, and hornpipes, as well as sounds such as drum and bass, dubstep, and house. Whilst Bohemian Techno has evolved out of Irish Techno it is not as fast-paced and is characterised by many new and unique sounds. It would be best described as an energetic and melodic electronic dance music designed to take the listener on a psychedelic journey within and without. Best listened to after consuming psilocybin. Bohemian Techno is the main genre of music played at the massive raves held during the various festivals.

Arts and Craft

Being an incredibly creative race of people, the Boheme love expressing themselves in a variety of artistic ways including painting, sculpting, wood carving, glass blowing, pottery, metalsmithing, jewellery making, poetry writing, acting, story telling, performing, dancing etc. The two most popular art forms in Bohemia include painting and metalsmithing. Many Boheme are talented visual artists and use a variety of mediums to express themselves. There is also a massive number of skilled spray painting artists who specialise in custom ship paint jobs. Metalsmithing is also extremely popular because of their ancestral connection with the Irish Travellers who were renowned metalsmiths.
